! Not recommended for use in roof de-icing systems.

The heating cable has IP protection class 67 and is therefore suitable for temporary submersion up to a maximum of 1m water depth for a maximum of 30 minutes. Permanent use under water is expressly prohibited for this product for safety reasons.

The heating cable consists of two copper wires arranged in parallel. The copper wires are separated from each other by a semiconductor layer. Because of its continuous, parallel combination of heating matrix particles, the heating cable automatically reacts to fluctuations in the ambient temperature and compensates for them. The plastic shrinks in colder places between the heating conductors and restores the current paths - the resistance drops - more heating is achieved. As the ambient temperature increases, the resistance increases accordingly, cooling the heating cable. Self-regulating heat emission adapts individually to each point of the section. This means you can achieve different temperatures in the different individual sections and always get an optimal temperature. This also completely eliminates the possibility of self-overheating, e.g. B. if the heating cables cross or overlap.

The cable is cut to the required lengths directly on site; there is no need to pre-select prefabricated sections like a traditional resistive cable. Thanks to the self-regulating effect, it copes with snow and ice faster than a conventional resistance cable. Sold in sections - it is not necessary to keep the entire range of resistance sections in stock - a roll of cable is enough, as you can independently make sections of any length from it.
